Lumassina - light Ligurian indigenous pet nat - (aka Italian Frizzante). The name refers to snails 'lumache' sommelier-endeared for its classic pairing with ;lumache all Ligure'. Again a tie to the connection of Sardegna, Piemonte & Savoy kingdom. Punta Crena's Lumassina is one of those wines you can pour while making a meal at home - Julia-style. This is a wine that makes me want to head to tomales bay for oysters or with fritto misto or anchovy anything. Delicate, flowery but brisk with ethereal herbal lightness - it can be overlooked for its power to pair. It makes the perfect lunch wine.
